For the first time, Expozine 2009 officially began with an opening party on Friday, November 13, at Sky Blue Door in Montreal, with readings by Simon Paquet and Marc-Antoine K. Phaneuf and a performance by Pharmakon Mtl.
Expozine brought together roughly 300 different creators (link to exhibitor list) of all kinds of printed matter – from books to zines to posters and graphic novels – in both English and French. Over the past eight years, Expozine has grown to become Canada’s largest small press fair and one of the most prominent in North America, attracting thousands of visitors as well as exhibitors from across Canada, the United States and Europe.
